For the Gale Warning, northwest winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and waves 3 to 5 ft expected. * WHERE...Grand Portage to Two Harbors MN. * WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 6 PM CST this evening. For the Gale Warning, from 6 PM this evening to 8 AM CST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions. &&

...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 10 AM CST SUNDAY... * WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero expected. * WHERE...Crow Wing, Aitkin, Pine, Cass, Itasca, Carlton, South and Central St. Louis, Cook and Lake Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of the Fond du Lac Band, the Grand Portage Reservation, the Mille Lacs Band, Big Sandy Lake, Hinckley, Lena Lake and, East Lake areas and the Bois Forte Band, Deer Creek and, Lake Vermilion areas. This also includes the Boundary Waters eastern and central area. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 10 AM CST Sunday. * IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chills may warm into the negative teens during the day Saturday, but more overnight wind chills in the negative 30s are expected Saturday night into Sunday.
